MARSFutures is a gallery for showcasing artwork created at the point in the future when any technological barriers that may impede the realisation of a concept have been overcome. It is a gallery for the time when scientific advancements undo the separation between the technological and the occult and imagination is intrinsically linked to physical reality through invention; MARSFutures is a centre for concepts that do not take into account their own contemporary feasibility.

We are taking submissions for artworks that are conceived with no regard for the possibility of their contemporary realisation. Realisation could be mitigated by many different factors: the artwork may require technologies that do not and may never exist, may cover a time span older than the universe or may exist within the framework of events that never occurred.

The selected concepts will then be interpreted by the resident artists and included in a physical gallery show, on the online catalogue and in associated publications.

Artworks in the show will be credited equally to both the creator of the concept and the resident artist creating the final artwork.

Concepts may be submitted as text or as diagrams to: marsfuturesgallery@gmail.com
